Zubaz

Apparently no one in the South knows what Zubaz are. I'm here to explain zubaz to all those unfortunate enough to live life without the knowledge of this horrible fad.

According to Wikipedia,
1. Zubaz were a popular type of weightlifting pant worn in the early 90's.

2. The were popular for many reasons. Maybe because they came with an elastic waist band that allowed for greater "flexibility and movement" AND crazy colored zebra prints. (This pattern must have allowed you to look cool despite the fact you were wearing elastic banded pants?)

3. The pants were an "in your face type of clothing."

4. The Arena football league had Zubaz design some of their uniform pants.

5. Zubaz was a MN based company that sold "$100 million dollars in 1991 alone."

Now, for the real questions about Zubaz:

1. Why would anyone want to wear them? The answer to this is elusive to me.

2. Why are people STILL wearing them? Again, I have no answer for this question.

3. Where do people still get Zubaz? I do have an answer for this one! Visit

4. How do we get people to STOP wearing Zubaz? If you have the answer to this question, please post it!
