Foot Woes
Look what I have to wear. Lovely, isn't it? It wouldn't be so bad, but I am supposed to don my tennis shoes with it. Pregnancy made me feel very uncute before..It's so much worse now that I have to wear sneakers! Hopefully, my foot will be better in a week. The doctor and I have no idea what is wrong with my foot as I can not have X-rays and I didn't injure it. It sure is painful, though!!

MN Baby Shower!
My mom and sister threw me a baby shower when Joel and I flew to MN. Here's a few pics!
Paige slaved away at this cake! Isn't it beautiful?!?
My corsage made out of a diaper, sock and baby wash cloth.
Joel got one too!
Renee...deciding how much toilet paper she needs to fit around my belly
Paige, measuring my pregnant girth!
Jessica came up for the event!
The inside of the cake was as fun as the outside!
Jessica made me this blanket! Talented girl!
Brinna-Annika's little one! We didn't really get any pictures of Annika...her little girl stole the show!
Grace, my niece made this dress for us! Wow! She's talented too!
We all had fun! Thanks everyone!

Baby Moon
Joel and I decided to celebrate our 4th anniversary and pre-baby stage with a trip to the Adirondack Mountains
Here's Joel posing in front of the Hudson...it looks much different here than it does in NYC!
Our cozy lake cabin
Buttermilk Falls
Joel is the subject of a lot more pictures now that I'm pregnant....hmm....does this say something about me?
Checking out our view from our cabin
We had a lovely time on a boat tour (I can't remember the name of the lake it was on...)
I thought MN had a lot of lakes until I visited the Adirondacks....
Bye, bye Long Lake! Maybe we will visit again when our little one is ready!

28 Weeks
Ohhh baby. Here I am at 28 weeks. I didn't feel large until I looked at this picture. Now I feel like a hippo. Whatever. Only 12 more weeks of growing left to do...I may or may NOT post pictures of myself after 28 weeks...we'll see how huge I get. If I end up looking like Jessica Simpson did, I promise that there will be NO photos of me ANYWHERE! Despite the extra pounds I've put on, I'm really glad that my baby is growing and healthy. Bring on the lbs if it gives me a healthy daughter.
I have elicited many more stares and comments from strangers:
1) The other day at the gym, a guy who looked exactly like Mr. Clean's twin brother (bald head and bulging muscles) came up to me and asked me if working out was okay with my doctor. I reassured him that it was just fine:) Nice to know that even muscle heads care about unborn babies and their health!
2) A cashier at the grocery store told me that I looked "really cute pregnant and that I was not really huge like some women." I replied that I probably would become large as I still had 3 months to go. She replied, "Oh..wow." I didn't feel so cute anymore :)

I Am Sooo Interesting...
My sister informed me that my big, prego belly would elicit a lot of advice from various people I run into. I did NOT expect my ever-growing belly to turn heads, though..
Here's a few examples...
1) I was waiting for Joel at church and the pastor's 4 year-old son ran past me. My belly must have caught his eye because he zoomed back to where I was standing and practically shouted, "You are pregnant! I replied, "Yep, I'm having a baby." He immediately asked "When did it get in there?" I've never been asked this question, except by my OB. I thought quickly and answered, "The baby is about 6 months old!" I'm just glad he didn't ask me HOW it got in there :)
2) The other pastors son caught a glimpse of me the day before and observed "You are having a baby." I affirmed his observation. He wanted to know "when it was going to come out?" I never knew little boys would be so interested in pregnant people! I wonder if Joel asked pregnant ladies any funny questions when he was little?
3) My car mechanic asked me "How I was handling the heat?" I think this is the question I get asked the most.
4) Whenever I meet new people or run into those I have not seen in a while, I always notice their eyes darting from my eyes to my stomach. I can see they are DYING to ask whether I'm pregnant or not. Ha ha..I know that feeling.

Diaper Lessons
Joel has never changed a diaper, so I thought I'd give him a lesson. While Cocoa Marshmallow (my childhood teddy bear) is a bit bigger than our newborn will be (I hope!!!), I thought he'd make a good substitute for the time being. Joel looks really enthused about getting his picture taken with a fluffy, diapered, teddy bear, right? :)

Week 25
Week 25. Holy Moly. I'm always hungry! Do I really have 15 weeks left? I can't imagine getting much bigger, but am very excited to see my little girl in a few short months!!
