Look What My Hubby Won?
An awesome t-shirt from The U Crew. I must say that this t-shirt looks much better on him, but this photo will have to do. So, EMU, can I get some points for the next big blog prize by sending some referrals your way?!? J/K. Anyway, The U Crew is so cool. They do fun stuff like blog prizes. In Jersey, we just post pics of our baby. Maybe if more people commented we'd give out prizes?

Back It Up....
Wait a minute, mom.
You forgot to blog about Oma and Opa's visit
and our trip to NYC when it was unseasonably cold!
and our nap in Central Park!
and daddy's college friend he has not seen in 15 years...
Whew...that long, run-on sentence tired me out. I'll have to tell you more about our lives in NJ some other time.
1) We've had a lot of visitors again this summer. People must really like us or our location:) I'll choose to think it's US they like.
2) The picture of Audrey sleeping is the ONLY photo I will ever take while she is not awake. Yes, she looks so sweet and content while counting sheep, but I work too hard to get her little eye-lids to close! I don't think I'll ever have the guts to risk waking her just for a photo.
3) I don't want school to start for another 9 months. Joel has more time at home in the summer and I'm not ready to give that up.
4) Anyone have some good book suggestions? I'm in need of a good read.

Swim, Swim Like a Fish....
Look at Me!!
I'm all ready to swim...
I've got my daddy,
mommy, and sunhat. Too bad I left my water loving side at home! NO POOL for this girl anytime soon:)
1) I had a lovely night out with these 2 gals (Lynette and Stephanie). Yes, we are sitting on silky pillows with a canopy overhead.
2) Joel went camping at Lake George with a friend from Boston. I shared this bit of info with a friend and she stated, "that was nice of you to let him do that!" I wasn't feeling to chipper about his absence at the moment and replied, "I know, wasn't it?" So, much for being the laid back mom/wife that many think I am (I don't know WHY they think this??)
3) I read "The Hiding Place" by Corrie Ten Boom for a book club. I was not at all thrilled about the selection until I read it. Wow. It literally changed my life....I can't even begin to explain what an impact this author and her story had on me. (Mom, I know you told me to read this book years ago....what can I say??)
4) We've officially lived in NJ for 2 years.
5) Audrey has at least tripled the amount of dishes I wash. It's incredible. How does such a little being add so many dishes to my pile??

Was that a firework I heard?

He likes it when both his girls sleep at night (and illegal fireworks aren't good for that)
whoo
whooooo
WHOOOO!
So many fun activities on our picnic
Just give me a minute while I pull daddy's lips off
Then I'll leave you with a video of me swinging.

Drat!!
![]() |
NOOOO!!
Have you ever put a baby to bed? If you have, then you know how exciting it is when their sweet little eyelids close. Not that I don't LOVE being with Audrey, but I do enjoy a bit of time to myself, too. Tonight I forgot to turn the down the volume on the computer and shut off the iPhoto booth. This is a critical part of my nightly routine as our Mac is right next to her bedroom. The photo above is one I accidentally shot RIGHT when Audrey had drifted off. BEEEP...BEEEP...BEEEEP...blared through the house as I frantically tried to adjust the volume. Fortunately, Audrey didn't stir.
