Here are some weird things I do when I become overwhelmed or stressed.
1. I've been known to put cheese in the cupboard instead of the refrigerator. I've also put cereal in the fridge and have started to put the milk in the cupboard.
2. I suddenly lose everything. The other night I took money out of my husbands wallet to pay for parking the next day. I could not find it ANYWHERE the next morning....I was sure it was going to turn up some place odd...like maybe the refrigerator...but I found it in my bag later on that day.
3. I become increasingly messy when I'm stressed...my books get spread everywhere...I have a million note cards spread throughout the house...AND THEN I get really stressed out about being too messy and go on a cleaning spree when it is time to go to bed.
4. My thoughts become consumed with what I'm stressed about...I think this causes me to be increasingly nerdy. I've even started taping myself reading my notes and listening to them as I drive to school and run other errands.
5. I've run up the stairs at least three times in a row...When I reach the top of the stairs I forget why I was going up there...then I run back down and remember...and then I reach the top and forget...it's a vicious cycle!
6. I think about chocolate chip cookies.
7. I dream of running away and quitting school:)
What do you do when you are stressed?

If Only Someone Had WARNED ME!
Here's a few things I wish I would have known...
1. I wish someone would have told me about the marriage 15. I felt fully informed about the freshman 15, but I didn't hear a peep about the marriage 15! It's very devastating to pull on your pre-marriage pants and discover that they are uncomfortably tight...as well as a bit unsightly! Luckily, I'm fitting back in my pre-marriage pants, but there was a few months that I was quite disconcerted about my growing weight. WARNING TO NEWLY MARRIED COUPLES.....just because you are incredibly happy and content..doesn't mean the food won't stick to your hips or waist..or whatever!
2. I wish someone had told me what profession to choose. I've had the HARDEST time deciding. I'm very educated..I just don't have anything to show for it!
3. Laundry...I never knew that 2 people could make so much laundry! I wish I would have known this before I got married...and maybe I would have decided to take over teh mowing responsibilities instead of matching socks and folding a billion pairs of underwear...(j/k...I love doing this for you Hubby!)
What do you wish someone had told you?

No..I'm NOT Dead.
People have been commenting on the significant break I've been taking from blogging....Here's why.
1. I was contemplating the importance of blogging in my life! :) I decided I needed to exercise more and blog less.
2. I was trying to sort through my nursing life.
3. I just didn't have the energy!
4. I was busy eating, spending time with family and of course STUDYING....
So, dear, loyal few that still follow my blogs..I didn't quit. I just decided to take a short hiatus from the pressures of blogging...(ha...I know that's silly)

You Know You Drive a Diesel When....
So, I am a female diesel driver. I don't have a huge truck, but rather a VW Jetta. I love my little car, but I do get a lot of funny looks from the truck drivers when I pull my little 4-door up to the diesel tank at different gas stations. Anyway, you know you drive a diesel when...
1. Your friends ask you why your car sounds like a Mac Truck.
2. You pay a dollar more per gallon than gasoline drivers have to.
3. You get stuck behind trucks that are carrying farm equipment in the back when you are trying to quickly fill your 12 gallon tank.
4. You wonder if your loud engine wakes the neighbors when you leave early in the morning.
5. You only get your oil changed every 10,000 miles (that's definitely a plus!)
6. When you take your car to the shop because it doesn't work right, you get asked if you are putting the right kind of fuel in the tank...(the worker wondered if I was putting gasoline in my diesel tank)

Ten Restaurants I'd Rather Not Dine At....
Are there restaurants that kind of turn your stomach if you think about them? Maybe it's because their food made you sick once...or maybe you found a container of worms under your table (yes, this did happen to me)...or maybe you just don't like what they have to offer..Here's my list.
1. Golden Corral. I'm really not into the whole buffet thing...and I did happen to find a container of live worms under my table while eating here once. They were enclosed...but if gives me the heebie jeebies just thinking about it.
2. Old Country Buffet...again...it's a buffet. I've heard too many stories about people not washing their hands..and I'll leave it at that.
3. Any Chinese restaurant. I've tried and I've tried to like Chinese food...I just can't do it!
4. Denny's. I once had a horrible date (a pick-a-date for you Cedarvillians) that took me to this restaurant. He didn't talk to me the ENTIRE night. I thought my night might improve if I ordered a chocolate malt. I was wrong....it ended up being really grainy...and nasty.
5. White Castle. Need I say more?
6. Hardees. I once ordered a mushroom melt here as a child. My dad was paying and picking up the food. I decided to use the restroom...and while I was in there a lady hawked a loogey in the sink. (I have no idea how to spell 'hawk a loogey' I was never taught that in school!) Yuck. I can't erase this horrible memory from my mind. Plus...I don't like fast food. I know, I'm a snot.
7. Burger King....again it is fast food.
8. McDonalds...I hate it when I have to go here..there's my aversion to fast food again.
9. Taco Bell. The little dog just ruins it for me (the food is not that great either!)
10.Boston Market. The whole cafeteria set up makes me feel like I'm back in college.
Which resaurants would you rather not eat at?

Are People Getting Weirder?
I've noticed a lot of strange things these last couple of years...it makes me wonder if people are getting weirder...or am I just always in the "right place at the right time" to witness the weirdness?
1. There's a lady in our city that hula-hoops. You say, "Caron, that's not that weird!" Let me set the scene. She carries her own little boom box to the middle of a divided street...and this isn't just any street...It happens to be extremely busy road. There are traffic jams, whizzing fire trucks and of course funny stares. Yet, she keeps on swivelin' those hips. There's even been articles written about her in the local newspaper.
2. When I worked at a gym, there was a guy that came in whom we called "Dance Party" He would stand in front of the mirrors and dance with a pole for about an hour. He was interesting to say the least.
3. There was another interesting character that used to come into the gym I worked at. He would carry a pair of dress shoes in his hands (he had the exact same pair on his feet) and he dressed up in a tweed suit coat with black pants every time he came to the gym. Not only did he wear this outfit to the gym...he also exercised in it. Oh..he did change his dress shoes to another pair of dress shoes to walk on the treadmill of course. After he walked for 10 minutes, he would sit on the end of the treadmill..change his shoes and watch people...
4. One last gym story. There was a lady who exercised at gym that we called "Dress Fun" She told one of the trainers the first day she was in that she liked to "Dress Fun" so hence the name. Boy was she right! She was not a tiny lady...and LOVED to wear THONG leotards that were cheetah print and other various shades of...shall I say it...hideousness! I think she knew she dressed a little crazy...but she continued to live up to her name.
5. I run into all kinds of interesting people at the hospital..but can't relate the stories for HIPPA purposes. Boy there are some good ones though!
6. Well...that's my "weird" stories for now...I probably shouldn't write anymore, because for all I know there's someone writing a "weird" story about me somewhere too...I just like to think that I happen to see these people in their weirdest moments...and all their other moments in life are completely "normal!" I always hope that people will give ME the benefit of the doubt when they catch me in a weird moment! :)
